This is a multi-tenant building in which the charter middle school leased most of the 2nd floor (24,486 SF). The space was previously used as a nursing school. The space was improved to accommodate administration, a small multi-purpose room, 9 classrooms, 4 student resource rooms, computer lab and 2 science labs for Grades 6-8. The 2-story building was of Type III-A construction where the lower-level parking was of Type I-A construction. The underground parking also served as student drop-off/pick-up. The underground parking was fully sprinklered. The 1st and 2nd floors were required to be fire-sprinklered to accommodate current code requirements.
